UPDATE: Power Restored in Pāʻia

Maui Electric Company announced that it restored power in the Pāʻia area.
According to Maui Electric Company, the outage affected the Pāʻia, Sprecklesville, and Kūʻau areas.
According to a MECO representative, the fire in Kahului did not cause the outage, calling the incidents “coincidental.”
MECO has not released a statement regarding the cause of the outage.
