Surf of 5 to 9 feet is forecast along the south facing shores of all islands within Maui County.

A high surf advisory was issued by the National Weather Service and remains in effect through 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.

Forecast surf heights are estimates of the height of the face or front of waves.

The public can expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong long-shore and rip currents which will make swimming difficult and dangerous.
