Lahaina Gateway shopping center in West Maui welcomed new anchor tenant Ross Dress for Less over the weekend.

The discount retailer has taken over the former OfficeMax location, debuting an 18,620 square foot store that marks its third location on Maui.

Ross Dress for Less is the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the US.  With this new opening, Ross will operate 23 stores in Hawaiʻi and a total of 1,528 locations in the US and Guam.

Property managers say the addition of the retailer is a major step in the ongoing revitalization of the center.
