Fire Near HC&D Burns Three Acres on Saturday

A fire near HC&D Ready Mix and Aggregate in Central Maui burned about three acres of light brush before being brought under control on Saturday.

The fire was reported just before 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 in Puʻunēnē.

Fire officials say crews from Engine 10, Tanker 10 and Tanker 14 fought the blaze with the assistance of equipment and tankers from HC&D, Maui EKO and Mahi Pono.

The fire was declared extinguished at 3:45 p.m.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
