Central Pacific Bank Names Blackmon as Chief Information Officer

Glen Blackmon has been appointed Chief Information Officer at Central Pacific Bank, where he will be responsible for the company-wide strategic direction and management of technology for new and existing products and services.
“Glen brings to the bank a wealth of proven experience and knowledge across many industries in leveraging information management for growth and profitability,” said John C. Dean, President and Chief Executive Officer for Central Pacific Bank, in a company statement released today.
“His role with Central Pacific will be key to our competitive positioning in a dynamic financial services industry going forward.”
Blackmon, age 56, brings more than 30 years of experience in multiple industries including financial services, high technology and third-party administrative business services.
Prior to joining Central Pacific Bank, Blackmon worked under Dean at Silicon Valley Bank from 1993 to 1997. He also held executive positions at Trinity M&A Group LLC, a mergers and acquisitions advisory service and consulting firm based in Houston, Texas,and was also President and Chief Operating Officer for Internet America, Inc.
Blackmon has led seven companies, including four publicly traded, as chief executive of technology, finance, and/or operations; directed multiple successful “turnarounds” at the company and divisional levels; managed over 10 large technology implementation projects; and served as an advisor or principal in over 25 M&A and investment banking transactions.
