Honoapi‘ilani Rollover Accident Cleared

Traffic is starting to resume its normal flow following a single-vehicle rollover crash on the Honoapiʻilani Highway. As of 8:30 a.m., the vehicle was being towed from the scene and crews were working to clean fluids on the road. Traffic that was previously at a standstill headed from Lahaina into Kahului has since started moving. Motorists are asked to exercise patience as traffic resumes its normal flow. The accident was reported shortly after 7 a.m. on the Lahaina side of the “Pali” tunnel, on the makai shoulder.

Traffic remains at a standstill on the Honoapiʻilani Highway following a single-vehicle rollover accident in the “Pali” section of the highway. The accident was reported shortly after 7 a.m. on the Lahaina side of the tunnel. Images from the scene showed the vehicle upside down on the makai shoulder of the highway. Police and fire units are on scene.
