Volunteers Aid Victims of Lahaina House Flood
Volunteers with the American Red Cross assisted victims of a residential flooding that occurred on Christmas Day.
On Saturday, the volunteers met with the affected residents to provide any emergency needs for food, shelter, and clothing.
Caseworkers will continue to follow up with anyone affected in the coming weeks to provide referrals, guidance or additional assistance as needed to help with the recovery process.
The Red Cross encourages all families to create an evacuation plan with two different routes of escape, a communications plan to help families reconnect after disaster and a disaster supplies kit that is readily available to aid in a quick evacuation.
More information on developing a family plan is available here.
