Kaiser Permanente Maui Lani Welcomes New Physicians
Three physicians have joined Kaiser Permanente Hawaiʻi facilities on Maui and Oʻahu.
Jason Dugan, MD, MBA, practices internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente Maui Lani Medical Office. He earned his medical degree and MBA from the University of California at Irvine School of Medicine and Irvine Merage School of Business, respectively. Dr. Dugan completed his residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Dugan most recently served as a partner at the Memorial Care Medical Group in California where he was responsible for outpatient management. Active in research, Dr. Dugan has published abstracts focused on gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Sunil Desai, MD, joins the internal medicine department at Kaiser Permanente Maui Lani Medical Office. He earned his medical degree at the Grant Medical College at the University of Bombay in Mumbai, India and completed a residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California. Dr. Desai served as a fellow with the American College of Physicians, and then worked as a staff physician for Kaiser Permanente in Fremont, California for the past 25 years.
Ruchi Kumari, MD, is a hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, and completed her residency as chief medical resident at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. Dr. Kumari was also active in teaching at New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. She is board certified in internal medicine.
