Maui Crime Feb. 9 – Feb. 15: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 15 burglaries, 10 vehicle thefts and 5 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Feb. 9 to Feb. 15, 2020.

Burglaries were up 88 percent from the week before when 8 incidents were reported over the seven day period. Vehicle thefts increased 233 percent from the week before when 3 incidents were reported; and vehicle break-ins decreased 44 percent from the previous week, when 9 incidents were reported.

15 Burglaries

Hāna: 

  • Monday, Feb. 10, 8:56 a.m.: 299 Waiʻānapanapa Rd., Hāna at Waiʻānapanapa State Park. Non-residential, forced entry.
  • Thursday, Feb. 13, 8:17 a.m.: 299 Waiʻānapanapa Rd., Hāna at Waiʻānapanapa State Park. Non-residential, forced entry.

Haʻikū: 

  • Sunday, Feb. 9, 6:26 p.m.: 1-100 Maluna Place, Haʻikū. Residential, forced entry

Kāʻanapali: 

  • Sunday, Feb. 9, 12:05 p.m.: 100 Block of Nohea Kai Drive, Kāʻanapali. Residential, unlawful entry.
  • Thursday, Feb. 13, 11:50 a.m.: 200 Block of Nohea Kai Drive, Kāʻanapali at the Hyatt Regency. Non-residential, unlawful entry.
