Hāna Highway Rock Removal Continues on Monday

Crews with the state Department of Transportation will continue work on Monday, Feb. 24, to remove loose material along the Hāna Highway near Mile 21, where a rock slide was reported on Saturday evening.

According to the department, rock scaling will take place beginning at 8 a.m.

Work will result in temporary traffic stops in both directions for 20-30 minutes at a time, as crews continue to bring down loose material.
