Sugimura Cancels Talks Story and Campaign Fundraiser as COVID-19 Precaution

Councilmember Yuki Lei Sugimura has cancelled her monthly talk story event at the Upcountry Farmer’s Market that was scheduled today; and her campaign has cancelled a fundraiser that was scheduled for March 18.

Sugimura Takes Precautions and Cancels Campaign Fundraiser

“With the abundance of caution,” Friends of Yuki Lei Sugimura campaign event scheduled for March 18, 2020, at the UH Maui College, Pāʻina Dining Room is cancelled.

“The growing concern of COVID-19 weighs heavily and with an abundance of caution and with careful consideration, Sugimura decided to postpone the event. The decision was made for the safety and well-being of the community, families and many friends,” organizers said.

This Month’s “Talk Story with Yuki Lei” is Cancelled

Councilmember Yuki Lei Sugimura has cancelled this month’s “Talk Story with Yuki Lei” outreach program at the Upcountry Farmers Market, which had been scheduled for Saturday morning, March 14, 2020.

Sugimura holds the council seat for the Upcountry residency area and chairs the council’s Water, Infrastructure and Transportation Committee.
