PSLU Committee to Hear Change in Zoning for Kilohana Makai Workforce Housing Project
On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at 9 a.m., the Planning and Sustainable Land Use Committee will meet via the online platform BlueJeans to hear the Change in Zoning Application for the Kilohana Makai Workforce Housing Project in Kīhei.
Committee Chair, Councilmember Tamara Paltin, originally intended to hear this item in Kihei during an evening meeting. Due to COVID-19, that is no longer possible.
Councilmember Paltin said she appreciates the community’s adaptability as the council continues to overcome the challenges presented by the pandemic.
“Based on the success of the County’s budget session and other meetings, it seems that BlueJeans can protect transparency and public participation throughout this process as well,” Paltin said in a press release.
The County Communication related to this item, which contains the applicant’s project documents, will be posted on the agenda for the public to review.
Testimony may be presented at the meeting or submitted in writing beforehand by emailing PSLU.Committee@mauicounty.us, referencing PSLU-56.
The PSLU meeting of June 3, 2020 will be available online as well as broadcasted on Akaku Channel 53. The online platform BlueJeans can be used with a computer or smartphone. The County will put the meeting link on the agenda. The June 3, 2020 PSLU meeting agenda will be posted on Thursday, May 28, 2020.
