UPDATE: The National Weather Service has extended this small craft advisory until 6 pm Tuesday, May 11.
The National Weather Service has issued a small craft advisory until 6 am Tuesday, May 11, for Māʻalaea Bay, Pailolo Channel, ʻAlenuihāhā Channel, Big Island Leeward Waters and Big Island Southeast Waters.
East winds of 20 to 25 knots are expected.
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these conditions.
