A High Surf Advisory is in effect for East facing shores of Maui and Molokaʻi from 6 am Saturday to 6 pm Sunday due to high trade winds.

The surf is expected to be between 7 and 10 feet. Expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.

Precautionary Measures:  Beach goers, swimmers and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials, and exercise caution. Boaters should expect recreational surfers and body boarders utilizing harbor channels to access surfing areas.
