Maui Crime to Oct. 10-16, 2021: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to seven burglaries, 11 vehicle thefts and 14 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Oct. 10 to 16, 2021.

The percentage of burglary cases neither increased nor decreased from the week before when seven incidents were also reported. Vehicle thefts decreased 15% from the week before when 13 incidents were reported. Vehicle break-ins increased -75% from the week before when eight incidents were reported.

7 Burglaries

Hāna:

• Oct. 11, 2021, 1:20 p.m.: Waikoloa Road., Hāna. Residential, unlawful entry.

Kahului:

• Oct. 10, 2021, 11:27 a.m.: 717 Iluna Place, Kahului. Non-residential, forced entry.

Nāpili:

• Oct. 12, 2021, 6:23 p.m.: 4405 Honoapiʻilani Highway, Nāpili at Kahana Gateway Center. Non-residential, forced entry.

Waiehu:

• Oct. 14, 2021, 11:39 a.m.: 1360 Hiʻahiʻa St., Waiehu. Non-residential, unlawful entry.

Wailea:

• Oct. 11, 2021, 2:16 p.m.: 5400 Makena Alanui Road, Wailea. Non-residential, forced entry.
• Oct. 15, 2021, 8:09 a.m.: 5400 Makena Alanui Road, Wailea. Non-residential, forced entry.

Wailuku:

• Oct. 11, 10:07 a.m.: Honoapiʻilani Highway / Kuʻikahi Drive, Wailuku. Non-residential, forced entry.
