Arc of Maui Has New CEO
Arc of Maui County, a local nonprofit serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1954, announced the selection of Aspen Wallwork as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Aspen has 18 years of service with Arc and has served in various administrative capacities, most recently as the Director of Operations. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations in Organization with an emphasis on nonprofits from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She officially began her new role on Oct. 16, 2021.
Arc of Maui County’s mission is to promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing a variety of services through licensed group homes, Adult Day Health programs, one-on-one community services and employment programs.
“Aspen has been instrumental in our mission to actively support programs and services with full participation and inclusion in the community for those we serve. She has worked closely with Rob Lane, her predecessor, over the past several years and her passion and knowledge of Arc of Maui gives us complete confidence in her ability,” said Board President John Kuge.
“I appreciate the board’s confidence in me and I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead such a great organization,” said Wallwork. “Our team will continue to ensure fulfilling and thriving futures for our clients and staff and build upon the achievements of the past 65+ years of service to the developmental disabilities community.”
