40 Years of Maui Mall Memories Come to Life in Contest

The Maui Mall is calling for entries to its “Maui Mall Memories Photo & Art Contest” in celebration of its upcoming 40th Anniversary.

The photo contest is open to Maui residents 13 and older. Both professional and non-professional photography are encouraged.  Acceptable mediums include monochrome, black and white or color prints.

The art contest is open to Maui County children ages four through 12.  The drawing should depict a memory of the Maui Mall.  Illustrations using color pens, pencils, crayons, chalk, watercolor or acrylic are welcome.

Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, relevance to theme and memorability factor. First, second and third place winners in both contests will win Maui Mall gift cards and merchandise.

Winners will be announced on Saturday, December 3 during Maui Mall’s 40th Anniversary Celebration. Winning entries will also be displayed at Maui Mall through the end of the year.

Entries must be dropped off at the Maui Mall management office behind center stage on weekdays between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. now until November 4.

The Maui Mall 40th Anniversary Celebration takes place on December 3 and 4.  The weekend celebration features music and dance performances and prize giveaways.

A Maui Mall “Past and Present” exhibit will also be on display from mid-November through the end of the year.
