Hawaii Tourism Authority Visits Maui
By Sonia Isotov
The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) and the HTA global marketing partners are all sending representatives to Maui on November 16 for a special “meet and greet” session with local tourism stakeholders.
Registration is now open for the HTA’s Meet & Greet sessions that will be held on all the island of Kaua’i, O’ahu, Maui and Hawai’i from November 15 – November 18, 2011. The Maui County meet and greet session will be held on November 16 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Kahili Golf Course in Waikapu.
The HTA is making its way around the state to give Hawaii visitor industry stakeholders the opportunity to meet face-to-face and interact with HTA global marketing partners representing each of our major market areas, which are Japan, Other Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe. This meeting will also include representatives from North America MCI and the Hawai’i Convention Center.
Meet and greet sessions are not set up to be presentations for the annual tourism marketing plans, as the plans were recently presented in an October 12 webinar and are available for public viewing at http://www.hawaiitourismauthority.org/about-hta/hta-events/webinars/.
It is recommended that attendees familiarize themselves with the marketing plans prior to attending the meet and greet. Interested parties can also familiarize themselves with the state and county HTA Tourism Strategic Plans 2005-2015, including the Maui County plan, by going to http://www.hawaiitourismauthority.org/about-hta/plans/.
Registration is required to attend the meet and greet sessions. Click here, to register for the Maui County session.
