Cooke was located and found to be in good health.  The Maui Police Department thanked the public for their assistance.

The Maui Police Department is asking for the public’s help with any information on the whereabouts of Barbara Cooke, 72, of Kahului.

Cooke was reported missing on Monday, July 29, 2024, by a family member after she failed to return home after going for a walk.  She was last seen leaving her residence on foot in Kahului on Monday at around 4:30 p.m.  Cooke may have been seen near the Maui Lani McDonald’s in Wailuku at around 7:15 p.m.

Cooke does not have a cell phone and requires a cane to walk.  Her family is concerned for her safety and well-being.

Cooke is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 155 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.  She was last seen wearing a blue colored dress, as depicted in the picture, and red colored shorts.  It is unknown what type of footwear she was last using.

If you know her whereabouts, contact the Maui Police Department’s non-emergency number at 808-244-6400. If it is an emergency, dial 911 and refer to MPD report number 24-021924.
