Immigration Services Division to close for training and reopen with new appointment guidelines

The County of Maui Department of Human Concerns Immigration Services Division office in Wailuku will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, for staff training. It will reopen during normal operating hours Wednesday, Sept. 4, when it will begin accepting new US passport applications on an appointment-only basis. 

Starting Sept. 4, each person applying for a new U.S. passport must have an appointment with the County’s Immigration Services Division. US citizens may make a new passport application appointment with the division by calling the office at 808-270-7791. 

Applicants will need to bring a completed passport application, proof of citizenship, government ID and a passport photo. This service is limited to new U.S. passport applications.

The County of Maui Department of Human Concerns Immigration Services Division office is located on the fifth floor of One Main Plaza, 2200 Main St., Suite 547, Wailuku. Hours of operation are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
