Downed trees are blocking the Hāna Highway at Mile 7. (4:22 a.m. Aug. 28, 2024) PC: Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation.

As of 8:30 a.m., the Hāna Highway has been cleared of a downed tree that was previously blocking the roadway at Mile 7.

As of 6:22 a.m., one lane at mile marker 7 on Hāna Highway has been cleared. A crew continues to clear the rest of the roadway. Motorists are asked to drive with caution.

Crews from the state Department of Transportation Highways Division are responding to a report of downed trees that are blocking the Hāna Highway at Mile 7 near Naʻiliʻilihaele Stream. Crews were en route to the location as of 4:22 a.m.
