Flood Watch extended for all Hawaiian Islands to 6 a.m. Oct. 29
Flood Watch extended to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024
Update: 3:14 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28 2024
Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. The Flood Watch is in effect for all the main Hawaiian islands, with the greatest threat over windward areas.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service say an upper low near the Hawaiian Islands will maintain moist and unstable conditions that could produce periods of locally heavy showers. Rain that occurs over already saturated ground could quickly lead to runoff and flash flooding issues, mainly over windward areas.
The public is advised to monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
