The ceremony took place on December 2, 2011 at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.

Several recruits were honored with awards for outstanding efforts including:

  • Cory Palmeira – Most Outstanding Overall
  • Jonathan Duncan – Most Outstanding Functional Skills
  • Joshua Dukes – Most Outstanding Academics
  • Vance Pu – Ho’oulu Award (Firefighter Spirit) Named on behalf of the late Captain Charles Iwata
  • Loea Chang and Vance Pu – Outstanding Team Award

The 13 recruit graduates included: Loea Chang, Joshua Dukes, Jonathan Duncan, Aaron Hughes, Chad Leggett, Keola Nakoa, Michael Neubauer, Matthew Paet, Cory Palmeira, Vance Pu, Jerime Storey, Elven Ventura, and Steven Warther.
