Mechanical problems resulted in missed trash collection along a route in Haiku and Paia today.

The County of Maui’s Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience.

Resumption of service will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, December 21, 2011.

Affected areas include:

  • Haawina St.
  • Haiku Rd.
  • Kahiko St.
  • Kahua Pl.
  • Kokomo Rd.
  • Kupono St.
  • North And South Laelua Pl.
  • Laenani St.
  • Laulea Pl.
  • Lilikoi Rd.
  • Pililoko St.
  • Puu Koa Pl.
  • Waipua St.
  • and surrounding streets
