Kahului man reported missing, public help sought

The Maui Police Department requests the public’s assistance with any information on the whereabouts of David Lewis, 38, of Kahului.

Lewis was reported missing by a concerned acquaintance on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026. He last spoke with his acquaintance via phone in February of 2026.  Prior to this, Lewis had maintained regular monthly contact. It is further reported that he has not had any contact with several mutual friends or associates.

Lewis’ last known contact number is currently disconnected/unavailable. Police last documented contact was in the Kahului area on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Lewis is not believed to have, or known to operate, a vehicle.

Lewis is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds.  He has sandy brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what he was last wearing.  

Anyone with information on Lewis’ whereabouts, is asked to contact the Maui Police Department’s non-emergency number at 808-244-6400. In case of an emergency, dial 911 and refer to MPD report number 26-020964.
