The Summit District of Haleakalā National Park remains closed following recent storms and the ongoing closure of Crater Road (Route 378). Recovery efforts, including hazard tree removal, continue along the roadway.

The Kīpahulu District and Kīpahulu Campground remain open to the public.

For everyone’s safety, visitors and local residents are asked to follow all state and county road closures. Updates on park reopening will be shared on the park’s website and social media channels. Visitors should also monitor the State of Hawaiʻi and Maui County websites for the latest information on road conditions and potential closures.

For updates on park conditions visit www.nps.gov/hale.
