Nightly drone shows, four days of live entertainment to be showcased at 99th Maui County Fair

The 99th Maui County Fair will bring four days of live entertainment to the main stage, featuring a mix of Hawaiian music, hula, local favorites and island contemporary performers. The much-anticipated fair is set for Oct. 1–4 at the County’s War Memorial Complex.

This year, every night of the fair at 8:30 p.m., fairgoers can watch a Maui County Fair Drone Show above the fairgrounds.

Attendees can also enjoy listening to a synchronized soundtrack during each drone show by downloading the Pyrocast App by Ignite Firing Systems on a mobile device. Open the app and enter Show Code: H2J8 to connect to the official Drone Light Show music.

From the opening of the fair on Thursday evening through Sunday night, the main stage will showcase Maui and Hawaiʻi entertainers:

Oct. 1

6 – 7 p.m. — Hālau Kekuaokalāʻauʻalaʻiliahi featuring Kamalei Kawaʻa
7:30 – 8:30 p.m. — Kamalani Kawaʻa
8:30 p.m. — Maui County Fair Drone Show

“Entertainment is just one part of the four-day Maui County Fair experience, which brings together the community for rides, food, exhibits, products and services, family activities and longtime fair traditions,”  said Fair Director Daryl Fujiwara. “Come early, stay late, enjoy the entertainment and look to the sky at 8:30 p.m. every night for the Maui County Fair Drone Show.”

The Maui County Fair brings residents and visitors together for four days of food, entertainment, culture and family fun. Mayor Richard Bissen spearheaded the fair’s return after a six-year hiatus, and earlier this year proposed—and the Maui County Council approved—a $1.5 million general fund appropriation to support this year’s fair through nonprofit Festivals of Aloha.
