Hanalei Elementary School closed today due to flooded roads

Hanalei Elementary School on Kauaʻi will be closed to students and staff today, Wednesday, Sept. 30, due to heavy rain and flooding on Kūhiō Highway near the Hanalei River Bridge, preventing safe access to and from the school.
The county has closed the highway in both directions due to floodwaters.
