Maui Preparatory Academy freshman Danielle Jefferies posted her best time of 58.19 seconds at Friday's Girls 100-yard Butterfly prelims. She is the state's top-seeded swimmer in the Girls 100 Butterfly going into today's state swimming and diving championships, which begin at 1 p.m. Jefferies can also make history if she wins, becoming the first state champion at her school.
