11 Vehicle Thefts on Maui Mar. 25 to 31, 2012

There were a total of 11 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between March 25 and 31, 2012.

The incidents include six thefts in Kahului, three in Kihei, and one each in Kula and Waihee.

Vehicles stolen included: (4) Honda Accords, (2) mopeds, (1) motorcycle, (1) Chevy Tahoe, (1) Nissan Rouge, (1) Jeep Wrangler, and (1) Ford Escort.

Three of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

Kahului:

• Sunday, March 25, 2012, 9:35 p.m.:  Lanui Circle at the Kahului Airport.  2006 Yellow Jeep Wrangler.  License: MPU588; VIN: 1J4FA29546P738078.
• Sunday, March 25, 2012, 8:30 p.m.:  South Wakea Avenue at Hale Mahaolu Elua.  1997 Gray Honda Accord. RECOVERED.
• Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 3 p.m.:  Onehee Avenue.  1996 White Honda Accord. License: MCT609; VIN: 1HGCD5639TA231267.
• Friday, March 30, 2012, 11:30 p.m.:  Kahului Beach Road at Harbor Lights.  2010 Red Zhejiang Xingfu Motorcycle Machine Co., Ltd. moped.
• Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 3 p.m.:  Kaahumanu Avenue in the southwest parking lot near the bus hub loading area.  1995 White Honda Accord.  RECOVERED.
• Saturday, March 31, 2012, 2 p.m.:  Kaonawai Place at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  2011 Silver Chevy Tahoe.  License: LBZ787; VIN: 1GNSKAE03BR228923.

Kihei:

• Tuesday, March 27, 2012, 7:30 p.m.:  South Kihei Road at Azeka Mauka.  2012 Black and Siver Dimo GXT Turbocam moped.  VIN: L4YTAAB5XCAB00381
• Thursday, March 29, 2012, 3:30 p.m.:  Mehani Circle.  License: LCJ292; VIN: JN8AS5MTXBW575968.
• Friday, March 30, 2012, 4 p.m.:  East Waipuilani road. 1995 Gold Honda Accord. RECOVERED.

Kula:

• Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 6:24 p.m.:  Kiopaa Place at Longs Drugs.  1996 White Ford Escort.  License: MBW150; VIN: 1FASP10J9TW116064

Waihee:

• Friday, March 30, 2012, 10 p.m.:  Kahekili Highway.  Red Honda motorcycle.
