BRIEF: Playground Equipment at Kahului Community Center Damaged

The Maui County Department of Parks & Recreation is asking that parents keep their children off of playground equipment at the Kahului Community Center.
“Park officials say the playground is damaged and could result in injuries to children if they play on it,” said Communications Director Rod Antone in a press release.

It is not known at this time how or when the playground was damaged, but the damage was reported by an area resident today.
County officials say replacement playground equipment is being ordered by the parks department.
