11 Vehicle Thefts on Maui April 22 to 28, 2012

There were a total of 11 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between April 22 and 28, 2012.

The incidents include three incidents in Kahului; two incidents each in Kihei and Lahaina; , and once incident each in Paia, Pukalani, Wailea and Wailuku.

Vehicles stolen included: (3) Toyota – 2 Tacoma, 1 Rav4; (3) Honda – 1 CRX dirtbike, 1 Accord, 1 Civic; (3) mopeds – 1 Yamaha, 1 Roketa Powersports Air R-50, 1 Zhejiang Xing Yue Vehicle Co.; (1) Isuzu Amigo; (1) Volkswagon Jetta.

Five of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

Kahului:

• Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 8 p.m.:  Puolo Place.  2010 Silver Toyota Rav4.  License 3: LAP203; VIN #: JTMWF4DVA5016521.  RECOVERED.
• Sunday, April 22, 2012, 7:31 a.m.:  South Kamehameha Avenue.  2006 Red and White Honda CRX dirt bike 85CC.
• Monday, April 23, 2012, 10 p.m.:  Alehela Street.  2010 Green Toyota Tacoma.  License #: LAP877; VIN #: 5TEUU4ENGAZ713097.  RECOVERED.

Kihei:

• Sunday, April 22, 2012, 5:30 a.m.:  East Waipuilani Raod.  1999 Black Isuzu Amigo.  License #: MRN148; VIN#: 4S2CK57W5X4373461.
• Thursday, April 26, 2012, 7 a.m.:  Nehu Place.  1993 Blue Yamaha Moped.  VIN #:  JYAFBA00PA009128.

Lahaina:

• Saturday, April 28, 2012, 7:06 a.m.:  1000 Block of Front Street. Black Roketa Powersports moped Air R-50.  VIN #: L4YTAABL8BAC00085.
• Tuesday, April 24, 2012 3:15 p.m.:  Mala Wharf Road.  Red Zhejiang Xing Yue moped.  VIN #: L4YTAABJ1BAC00090.

Paia:

• Monday, April 23, 2012, 12:30 p.m.:  Hana Highway at Tavares Bay.  1999 White Toyota Tacoma.  VIN #: 4TASN92N2XZ416141. RECOVERED.

Pukalani:

• Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 10 p.m.:  Kaualani Drive.  2003 Silver Volkswagon Jetta.  License #: MSL820; VIN #: 3VWRK69M03M010858.

Wailea:

• Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:20 a.m.: Makena Road at Big Beach, second entrance.  1996 Green Honda Accord.  License #: MCC266; VIN #: IHGCD5692TA233544. RECOVERED.

Wailuku:

• Thursday, April 26, 2012:  Lower Main Street.  1994 Blue Honda Civic.  License #: FGG691; VIN #: 1HGEG8645RL042381. RECOVERED.
