Waikapu Brush Fire Burns 1 Acre

A brush fire in Waikapu burned a small one acre area of dry brush near Waiko Road on Sunday afternoon.
The incident was reported at 2 p.m. on Waiko Road near the Waiale intersection.

Authorities say crews from Engine-10 were able to quickly contain the blaze.
No structures were threatened and no monetary damages were reported.
The fire was called under control at 2:16 p.m., and extinguished at 2:52 p.m.

The cause of the fire was undetermined.
