BRIEF: Costco Gas Opens on Maui

Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa will be among the first to pump gas at the new Costco gas station in Kahului this morning.
The twenty pump station off of Haleakala Highway is said to the largest gas station of any Costco store in the nation, comparable in size to the station in Waipio.

To help support the Maui Foodbank, Mayor Arakawa will be filling up one of their delivery vans at the opening event.
He will be second in line behind a 93-year-old Maui Costco customer who was selected as the store’s first customer.
The station opens to the public at 8 a.m. today.
