13 Vehicle Thefts on Maui July 15 to 21, 2012

There were a total of 13 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between July 15 and 21, 2012.

The incidents include six incidents in Kihei, two incidents each in Haiku and Kahului, and isolated incidents in Napili, Paia and Wailuku.

Five of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

Haiku:

• Sunday, July 15, 2012, 1 p.m.:  Hana Highway 8000 block.  1987 Tan Toyota Camry.  RECOVERED.
• Wednesday, July 18, 2012, 4:01 p.m.:  Hana Highway 8000 block.  1987 Tan Toyota Camry.  Lic#: MWN739.

Kahului:

• Thursday, July 19, 2012, 2 p.m.:  Hana Highway at Jim Flak GMC.  2004 Black Toyota Tacoma.  Lic#: PTE188; Vin#: 5TEWN72N84Z322470.
• Thursday, July 19, 2012, 8 p.m.:  Amala Place and Hobron Avenue at the Kealia Pond VIP entrance.  2001 Yellow Ford Ranger.  RECOVERED.

Kihei:

• Sunday, July 15, 2012, 8:29 a.m.:  Keonekai Road at the Keonekai Villages.  2012 Blue and Silver moped.
• Sunday, July 15, 2012, 4 a.m.:  Kuilima Place parked at the shoulder of the south-bound lane of Kenolio Road and Kuilima Place.  1993 Black Nissan Frontier. RECOVERED.
• Sunday, July 15, 2012, 10:13 a.m.:  South Kihei Road at the Paradise Gardens Apartments. 1984 Black Toyota Hilux. RECOVERED.
• Sunday, July 15, 2012, 12 a.m.:  Kaiolohia Street.  1993 Gray Honda Civic.  Lic#: MPV989; Vin#: 2HGH2355PH514001.
• Tuesday, July 17, 2012, 9:15 p.m.:  Honuhula Street.  2009 Black Kaitong motorcycle.  Lic#: M85755; Vin#: LYDTCKPE881100163.
• Saturday, July 21, 2012, 11 p.m.:  South Kihei Road at the Maui Gardens.  2008 Silver SFM 49CC moped.  Vin#: RFGBS1AJ68SFT1167.

Napili:

• Sunday, July 15, 2012, 5:10 p.m.:  Lower Honoapiilani Road at the Kaleialoha Condominiums.  2011 Black CPI USA moped.  Vin#: RFTJV5049B1800856.

Paia:
