Maui Event Helps Military Women Reboot, Get Jobs
By Sonia Isotov
Women who have served in the US military are invited to the “Women of Power Stand Down” event on Friday, November 9 at the Maui Economic Development Board’s Malcolm Center, Suite 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Informative and motivating, the “power up” event will share critical skills to Maui County women vets to help them discover rewarding jobs or get promoted. It is also a great venue for women to network and bond with others with similar experiences and interests.
This event is presented by the Strategist in partnership with the Women in Technology Project (an initiative of the Maui Economic Development Board), FernanTech, and Maui Business and Professional Women.
The event is free for all women veterans, active duty, guard or reservists living on Maui, Molokai or Lanai. Non-military attendee fee is $25. Special travel scholarships are available for women veterans who live on Molokai or Lanai.
