3 Maui Restaurants Rate as Most Romantic

The 2013 OpenTable Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the US included three Maui restaurants.

These restaurants are Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante at the Four Seasons Resort Maui (Wailea), Capische at the Hotel Wailea (Wailea), and Son’z Maui at Swan Court at the Hyatt Regency in Lahaina.

These awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia between Jan. 1, 2012 and Dec. 31, 2012. OpenTable is a leading provider of free, real-time online restaurant reservations for diners.

California restaurants earned 16 spots on the list, followed by Hawaii with 10 winners and Florida with eight.

Other noticeable trends in survey included: 1)the Melting Pot restaurants proved extremely popular for the fourth year in a row; 2) American regional fare accounted for almost half the spots on the list; 3) French cuisine was also well represented; and 4) other popular cuisines included Italian, European/continental, and seafood.
