The Maui AIDS Foundation raised $19,000 during their signature Mardi Gras Maui event held over the weekend at the King Kamehameha Golf Course.

More than 300 people attended the event that benefits the Maui AIDS Foundation and its programs.

The funds will be used to help stop the spread of HIV and provide services to people living with HIV/AIDS on Maui, Moloka’i and Lana’i.

Event sponsors included: the Allan G. Sanford Memorial Fund, Mr. A, Ambrosia Martini Lounge, Both Sides Now, Coldwell Banker, Maverick Events, Pacific Isle Rents, Smythe Fujiwara Design, Subway, Strike a Pose Maui, and We’ve Got it Covered.

The Maui AIDS Foundation has already set a date for next year’s Mardi Gras event, which will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
