Hale Kau Kau's fundraising weekend begins on St. Patrick's day with a rummage sale at the Hall on the campus of          St. Theresa Church in Kihei.  The rummage sale continues on Saturday March 18th from 11am to 2pm.  In the evening of March 18th at 6:30pm Hale Kau Kau will host the  Donor Appreciation St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Auction.  This dinner will thank all those who donated to our "Fund a Meal" fundraiser.     

"Fund a Meal" is an ongoing fundraiser for the upcoming    2023 Charity Walk.  "fund a meal" is very simple.  Hale Kau Kau serves 85 meals each day to the homebound elderly and disabled here in South Maui.  In addition, Hale Kau Kau serves from the kitchen a hot meal each day to all who are hungry.  In the course of a week, Hale Kau Kau prepares and serves/delivers  about 960 meals.  Each meal consists of a protein, starch, vegetable, fruit, bread, salad and dessert. It is estimated that each meal costs $7.  This cost includes the food, the containers to serve/deliver the meal, the utilities and cooks' salaries.  How many meals would you like to fund?  Your donation goes directly to the serving of meals at Hale Kau Kau, no administration fees or overhead.  Please "fund a meal" for the hungry and the homebound!  How many meals would you like to fund?
