The ʻAhahui Kaʻahumanu Chapter IV – Wailuku invites you to its Annual Queen’s Celebration, honoring the 258th birthday of Hawaiʻi’s beloved Queen Elizabeth Kaʻahumanu.
Since 1995, our Maui community has gathered at Center Stage to celebrate the Queen at the site of her iconic statue—and this year’s event will be more special than ever.
10:00 AM – Music, Mele, Hula & Lei Draping
Join us for traditional performances and our cherished lei draping ceremony.
Bring a 6‑ft open lei as hoʻokupu to honor the Queen.
11:00 AM – 1:30 PM – The First‑Ever Queen’s Gallery Experience
A brand‑new interactive cultural exhibit featuring:
- The unveiling of the Society’s one‑of‑a‑kind Queen Kaʻahumanu Portrait
- Art honoring the Queen by local artists Philip Sabado & Sean Baba
- Lei hulu demonstrations
- Kapa moʻolelo storytelling
- A tribute to Lucy Peabody and the legacy of ʻAhahui Kaʻahumanu
- Located on the first floor next to Bath & Body Works
