Join leading scientists, photographers, filmmakers, and conservationists February 16-18, 2024 to learn the latest in whale research and conservation – wherever you are in the world! Whale Tales is returning to The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua as a signature event and all presentations will be live-streamed for attendees to participate worldwide!
Presented by Whale Trust, Whale Tales is an annual fundraising and community outreach event and stands as a prestigious marine science gathering that unites whale researchers and enthusiasts from across the globe. For nearly two decades, our goal has been to educate, inspire, and connect people with the latest research and discoveries around whales and the ocean planet we share. At a time where our community is healing, we hope that Whale Tales will once again be a source of wonder and inspiration for those that can join us either in person or live.
The multi-day event consists of expert presentations from leading scientists and visual story tellers, a Mauka to Makai Science Expo featuring local organizations and hands-on learning activities, a Community Art Expo showcasing the work of artists and businesses throughout Maui, and Benefit Whale Watches hosted by our presenters! Additionally, each year we host a variety of special events that range from film screenings to sponsor receptions.
Whether you are in-person or online, you can experience the wonder of whales from wherever you are in the world!
