The Rotary Club of Kihei Wailea will have guest speaker Elaine Maline from Maui Green and Beautiful to discuss their focus and new upcoming projects as well as volunteer opportunities.  

Mission” Caring for the Aina” (the land) preservation, protection, and education.

·       The organization is the descendant of the original Hawaii nonprofit who successfully lobbied to ban billboards in the State of Hawaii. These signage laws still exist today.

 

·       Defend Maui trees, educate the Maui community on tree care, and promote nominations of exceptional trees in Maui County.

 

·       Informs and encourages the community to properly use the Maui County signage ordinance.

 

·       Supports the preservation/conservation of the natural coast of Kanaha Beach Park and the Kanaha Pond Wildlife Sanctuary and network with other community environmental groups.
