Maui Mediation Services (MMS) will host an in-person 4-day Basic Mediation Training on Friday and Saturday, January 23-34 and January 30-31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the J. "Conflict is everywhere right now, and this training equips participants with practical tools to manage disputes starting on day one", according to MMS Executive Director Bevanne Bowers.
Open to adults 18 and older, this entry-level course is required for those interested in becoming an MMS mediator and is ideal for anyone wanting to build strong conflict de-escalation skills. Scholarships are available. To register or learn more, call 808-244-5744 or visit www.mauimediation.org.
Founded in 1982, Maui Mediation Services is a nonprofit community mediation center providing conflict resolution, group facilitation, and education across Maui County. MMS serves state courthouses in Wailuku, Lahaina, Hana, and Molokai, and is the county's only community mediation center.
