Max Angel is a musician and entertainer from the Island of Maui. Starting his 'ukulele career at the ripe age of 9 years old, Max took quickly to the instrument and began performing weekly up and down Front Street. After years of practice, Max competed at the Hula Grill Youth 'Ukulele Competition, and won in 2012 and 2014. Max began playing at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas in 2015, and now plays regularly at several popular locations including Duke's Beach House, Leilani's on the Beach (with Jason and JJ Jerome), and the Westin Maui Resort & Spa.
Max specializes in Traditional and Contemporary Hawaiian music, but is also known to throw in modern pop hits, and older classics as well. When Max isn't playing music at the Westin, he is pursuing a bachelors degree in Hawaiian Studies at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. He previously graduated from UH Maui College and the Institute of Hawaiian Music, where his final project was recording an "EP" (or extended play,) "He Lani Ko Luna, He Honua Ko Lalo, with is cohort. This EP went on to win a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for best Hawaiian EP of 2019.

He is currently working on his second Album, which will be his debut Hawaiian Album, and is being produced by none other than Herb Ohta Jr.! Several songs have already been completed, and Max hopes to release a single from the album soon.
