Join Maui Walking Tours on a free guided walk through the history of Kihei. Learn about the Hawaiian community that called this region home, the influence of the US military during WWII, and the tourism boom of the 60s and 70s. Stories shared on this walk were collected first hand through one-on-one meetings with city architects, historians, authors, county officials, cultural advisors, and families that have lived in Kihei for multiple generations. The tour lasts about 90 minutes and starts outside the Kihei Library. Spots are limited, please register in advance at: https://www.mauiwalkingtours.com
