Our next Akakū Upstairs salon falls on the Third Thursday of the month, March 16th 2023, where our guest will be Kawika Hoke, writer/unit production manager of the original Hawaiian comedy series Moku Moku. He will be joined by members of his team to present their Pilot Screener and lead a discussion on the trials of production, producing Film & TV in Hawai'i, and cultural representation in media and the entertainment industry.
The event will be held at Akakūʻs Upstairs Media Lab, Suite 205. Doors open at 5:30pm to allow guests to connect prior to the salon, which runs from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. The entire community is invited to attend for free but registration is required since seating is limited.
