Maui Matsuri is hosting its 22nd annual Japanese Festival!

Maui Matsuri started as a Japanese festival on Market Street in Wailuku Maui in May 1999, and is the only Japanese Festival on Maui. The perpetual theme for this festival is “Kodomo No Tame Ni,” which translates to “For the Sake of the Children.” The focus is to provide an environment for families to share and learn about Japanese culture and pass down traditions. 

Join Maui Matsuri at Queen Kaʻahumanu Center on May 18th from 10 am to 1 pm for the Maui Matsuri Children’s Festival. Don’t miss out on free multi-cultural entertainment, keiki crafts, STEM demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
