Butcher Department Team Member | Location: Ulupalakua, Maui | Schedule: Full-Time | 7 Days On / 7 Days Off | Compensation Band: $45,000-$60,000/year (Depending on Experience) 

Maui Nui Venison is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Butcher Department at our facility in Ulupalakua, Maui. This full-time salaried position follows a unique 7-days-on / 7-days-off schedule, providing consistent income and a built-in week off every other week — a rare balance of stability and rest.

As part of our mission to restore ecological balance through responsible wild harvests, our Butcher Team plays a crucial role in transforming wild Axis deer into premium-quality venison. You'll be working alongside a close-knit team committed to excellence, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Break down whole venison carcasses into high-quality retail and wholesale cuts
• Operate processing equipment such as bandsaws, grinders, and vacuum sealers (training provided)
• Label, package, and prepare products for distribution
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while ensuring quality and consistency

What We're Looking For:

• Reliable, motivated, and able to follow detailed instructions
• Comfortable working in cold environments and standing for extended periods
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
• Willing to learn and apply proper knife handling and food safety techniques
• Positive team player with a proactive attitude
• Prior experience in meat processing or food handling is a plus, but not required
