Maui Now follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. Data & Account Management
- Name: This is viewable by the public, and used to identify who posted comments, event listings, classified ads, job listings, and business directory listings.
- Username: This is viewable by the public, and is a unique identifier associated with comments, event listings, classified ads, job listings, and business directory listings.
- E-Mail Address: This is used for login, and to send pertinent account information, including password reset requests. E-mail addresses are not publicly viewable.
- Phone Number: This is used to verify your account, and help mitigate bots and duplicate accounts. Phone numbers are not publicly viewable, and are strictly used only for SMS verification upon registration.
To request account deletion, you may also do so through the “Delete My Account” link at https://data.hubhawaii.com. Account and Data deletions may also be accommodated by emailing [email protected]. If requesting an account deletion via email, please send your request through the e-mail under which the account is registered. By deleting your account, all data provided through your account will be permanently deleted from our servers. This includes all personal information (email, username, phone number, name), comments, likes, job postings, classified listings, event calendar listings, business directory listings. Once deletion is requested, all data is irretrievable.
