Terms and Conditions for Sponsored Content
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your submission and our publication of sponsored content on MauiNow.com. By submitting sponsored content and checking the agreement box, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Content Guidelines
All submitted content must:
- Be truthful, accurate, and not misleading
- Not contain defamatory, obscene, or offensive material
- Not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Be clearly relevant to Hawaii residents and/or visitors
MauiNow reserves the right to reject any content that does not meet our editorial standards. All content undergoes editorial review before publication.
3. Editorial Review Process
All submitted content will be reviewed by our editorial team. We may:
- Approve your content as submitted
- Request revisions before approval
- Reject content that does not meet our guidelines
Your payment will only be processed if your content is approved. If rejected, no charge will be applied to your payment method.
4. Payment Terms
Pricing is as displayed on the package selection page. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the amount corresponding to your selected package if your content is approved.
5. Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued after content has been approved and published. If you wish to remove your content before the end of the purchased duration period, no partial refunds will be issued.
6. Content Presentation
Your sponsored content will:
- Be clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Paid Sponsored Content"
- Appear in the designated sponsored content sections of our website
- Remain visible for the duration specified in your selected package
- Include your business name as the sponsor
7. Links and Attributes
All external links within sponsored content will automatically include rel="nofollow sponsored" attributes in accordance with search engine guidelines. A maximum of two external links are permitted per submission.
8. Content Ownership and License
You retain ownership of your submitted content. However, by submitting content, you grant MauiNow a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, display, and distribute your content on our platforms for the duration of your selected package.
9. Modifications
Once published, content cannot be substantially modified. Minor corrections for factual accuracy may be requested by contacting our team.
10. Limitation of Liability
MauiNow is not liable for any business losses, loss of revenue, income, profits, sales, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill, or reputation that may arise from your sponsored content.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MauiNow, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your submitted content or violation of these terms.
12. Term and Termination
MauiNow reserves the right to remove any sponsored content at any time if it is determined to violate these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
13. Privacy Policy
Information collected during the submission process is subject to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to process payments.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15. Amendments
MauiNow reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will not affect previously published content.
